A collective of artists, Romani people and non Romani (Gadge) members who are interested in supporting and learning more about Romani culture

Dedicated to promoting Romani people living in Australia who are musicians, Verdon / Vardo (caravan) builders, dancers, artists, chefs, writers, actors, photographers, film makers, visual artists, digital designers, clothing designers, installation artists, community artists, and all other designers and Romani people and their allies who identifies themselves as a creative

To act as ambassadors, advocates and custodians, to protect and preserve DIVERSE Romani culture in as many of its forms as possible

Core values…

To act as ambassadors, advocates and custodians, to protect and preserve Romani culture in as many of its forms as possible

To promote Romani musicians, Verdon / Vardo (caravan) builders, dancers, artists, chefs, writers, actors, photographers, film makers, visual artists, digital designers, clothing designers, installation artists, community artists, and all other designers and Romani people and their allies who identifies themselves as a creative;

This collective is open to all Romani people living in Australia (and beyond, in the online space),  and their allies who do not identify themselves as creative and who wish to be a part of this community’

To teach, preserve and protect the Romanes / Gypsy language;

To educate the wider population on Romani history, language, music, arts, food and culture, so as to dispel myths, stereotypes and the romanticisation of Romani people.

To host events that make Romani people, Romani artists and practitioners visible’

To facilitate International Romani artists to visit Australia and to promote them to Australian Romani and non Romani audiences’

To facilitate overseas Romani visual / installation artists who wish to exhibit in Australian galleries, museums or other public spaces;

To encourage young Romani artists and other Romani people living in Australia  to develop their practice,and exhibit and display their works in Australian and abroad;

To teach Romani people and Collective members who are Romani allies to speak the Romanes Language through the delivery of regular Romanes language classes;

To encourage Romani artists across different disciplines to collaborate with one another and in cross cultural arts practices
